~June’s Garden~

Once again, I’m reminded of just how much I love these monthly posts. (I hope you do too!) What a joy it is for me to see the weekly progress of our garden’s growth! When I pass through the gates, all I’m focused on are the negatives- stink bugs and cucumber beetles as I wage war trying to keep my squash alive. I feel like I’m losing that battle and my only hope is that the leaf growth can occur faster than those bugs can reproduce and eat!

An keen and observant eye may have noticed the angle from which I shot these images has changed from the first two to the last two weeks…. In mid June the loft filled with hay making my little window inaccessible. I’m climbing an 8 foot ladder on the side of the barn instead.

There isn’t a whole lot to report this month… most of our action has been up in the orchard where we harvested our first strawberries and a bumper crop of mulberries.

It’s with eager anticipation that I wait to see what July has in store for us….

So Mistress Mary (you’re not contrary!), how does your garden grow?
