Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Scratch Baked Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies- these are the perfect milk-dipping cookie! A must for every family's cookbook! With double the chocolate, Scratch Baked Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies are the perfect milk-dipping cookie! They are a must-have cookie recipe for every family’s cookbook!

Because everything’s better with double chocolate, right? (Like Double Chocolate Zucchini Muffins?) And Hannah wanted to make her Daddy’s favorite Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies all by herself, so with minimal assistance from me and a beaming grin, she was able to proudly present her Daddy with warm cookies when he got home from work.

So clearly, they’re simple enough (and delicious enough) to make little want to get in the kitchen and start baking! Hopefully, by encouraging her now she’ll have some mad kitchen skills by the time she’s a teenager and she’ll be able to help out with making meals! Cookies now, help in the kitchen later… sounds like a winning plan to me!

And she’s going to show your kids how to make their own Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies.  So let’s get baking!

Everything's better with double chocolate, right? Scratch Baked Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies- these are the perfect milk-dipping cookie! A must for every family's cookbook!

Preheat the oven to 375. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and the salt.

In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.

Beat in eggs and cocoa. Once combined, gradually beat in the flour mixture.

Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Meanwhile:

(But don’t forget, Mom has a camera, so you’ll probably get caught eating the dough.)

Ah, why not? After all, we’re not scared of raw eggs. This is what being a kid is all about. Have at it guys!

Uh-oh! It looks like we might have forgotten the aprons!

Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

    Lisa,
Thank you! I always get nervous with my camera indoors. I’m happy I was able to get so many to turn out.

    Thanks betterislittle!

During our remodel, I actually designed my kitchen so that she (and the others) could help out if they wanted to. I worked with this one tiny little corner of a counter next to the stove, and if it wasn’t on, she’d climb right on up and sit on the stove! I realized early, there’s no keeping her out of the kitchen, so why fight it? I think the other two are there for the snacking 😀

That is a wonderful picture of your daughter with the rubber spatula! I know you must be proud of your older daughter’s desire to make the cookies on her own.

Well that was pretty stupid of me! Thanks for catching me error Heidi! I updated the post to include a preheat temperature of 375. Would you believe that I proofread the recipe twice?

I sure proud of her Heather! Sometimes she takes it too far though. This morning she had purple food coloring gel mixed with water, poured into cupcake tins. It was a mess! My hands are still magenta from the cleanup after many washings.

Lydia’s facial expression in that was great! That girl has a sweet tooth and it shows.
